Please review some of our recent projects provided below.

Louisville & Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Flood Manual Updates; Project Engineer; Ongoing. In February 2010, Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc. was subcontracted to assist with updating and consolidating the existing Standard Operating Procedures and Operating Instructions for MSD’s 16 flood pumping stations associated with the flood protection system. Work includes: review and revision of existing documents; site visits; project meetings and coordination.

UPS SCS Pharmaceutical Dist. Facility HC Conversion ; Louisville, Kentucky; Project Engineer
In August 2010, Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc. was subcontracted to design an access road; realign truck court access; design asphalt overlay of existing property; provide security fencing plan; site/grade plan; erosion prevention and sediment control plan; permitting and construction estimate.

Louisville & Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District: Billtown Interceptor Sanitary Sewer; Louisville, Kentucky; Project Engineer
In February, 2010, Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc. was subcontracted to develop the erosion prevention and sediment control (EPSC) plans for the interceptor sewer project. Work included: field walk/survey of existing project area and development of EPSC plans.

Louisville & Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District: Broad Run Interceptor Sanitary Sewer; Louisville, Kentucky; Project Engineer
In January 2010, Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc. was subcontracted to develop the erosion prevention and sediment control (EPSC) plans for the interceptor sewer project. Work included: development of EPSC plans and cost estimate of EPSC measures.

Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District: Little Cedar Creek & Edsel Lane Pump Station Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study (SSES); Louisville, Kentucky; In January 2010, Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc was subcontracted to provide manhole inspection and access investigation for this SSES project.

Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District: Lea Ann Way West and Lantana Pump Station Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study (SSES); Louisville, Kentucky; In November 2009, Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc was subcontracted to provide field oversight and assist troubleshooting field activities as well as provide office review of all CCTV and perform QC procedures on CCTV for this SSES project.

Riverport Flood Pump Station Water Service Project
In  May 2009, Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc was contracted to provide engineering services to provide water service to an existing MSD flood pumping station. Work included development of a preliminary design report; coordination with the Louisville Water Company; permit applications for  railroads involved; plan and profile for the water main; preparation of contract documents and construction cost estimate.

Saratoga Hill Road Drainage Improvement Project
In September 2006, Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc. was asked to provide the design of improvements to the rear yard drainage system that is an existing rock bottom channel. ENA developed an analysis of the existing flows and developed typical sections and transitions for the stream. This project used bio-engineering techniques to resolve soil erosion and potential property loss throughout the approximately 2,000 feet of stream. ENA also provided Design Services During Construction which included: review of contractor submittals; resolution of design/construction conflicts and design revisions if necessary.

Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Condition Assessment – Phase I, II & III
Phase I: In November 2005, Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc. was asked to provide manhole inspection and access / easement investigation for the interceptor condition assessment project. The assessment covered 164,500 feet of interceptor sewer.

Phase II: In August 2008, Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc. was asked to provide manhole inspection and access / easement investigation along with field coordination services for the interceptor condition assessment project. The assessment covered 78,122 feet of interceptor sewer.

Phase III: In July 2009, Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc. was asked to provide manhole inspection and access / easement investigation along with field coordination services for the interceptor condition assessment project. The assessment covers 116,395 feet of sanitary sewer.

Cherry Hill Estates Hydraulic Analysis
Since 2002 Elizabeth Niemann & Associates, Inc. has provided hydraulic analysis services for various subdivisions in Mount Washington, KY. This system was analyzed, given existing system parameters, for minimum pressures and flushing velocities available following build out of the subdivision. Results were presented in a report and submitted to Kentucky Division of Water for review and approval.
